Fixing Login Issues (Forgot Password, Wrong Email, etc.)

Can’t log in to Assignd? Here are the most common problems and how to fix them.

1. Forgot your password

  1. Click “Forgot password?” on the login page.

  2. Enter the email you used to sign up.

  3. Check your email for a password reset link.

  4. Follow the link and set a new password.

If you don’t see the email:

  • Check spam/junk

  • Make sure you entered the correct email

  • Wait a minute or two, then try again

2. Wrong email or multiple accounts

If you get a message like “No account found with this email”:

  • Try any other email addresses you use (school email vs. personal email).

  • If you signed in with Google or another SSO before, use the same method again.

3. “Invalid credentials” or “Incorrect password”

Make sure:

  • Caps Lock isn’t on

  • There are no extra spaces before/after your email or password

  • You’re using the same login method (email vs. Google) as when you signed up

If you still can’t log in, reset your password.

4. Account locked or too many attempts

For security, repeated wrong passwords might temporarily block login:

  • Wait 10–15 minutes

  • Try again with the correct details

  • If available, use the password reset option

5. Contacting support

If nothing works, contact support with:

  • The email you’re trying to log in with

  • How you originally created your account (email/Google/etc.)

  • A screenshot of the error message (if possible)
