Seeing the same assignment twice can be confusing. Here are the most common causes and solutions.
You accidentally entered the same assignment twice.
An import or integration created duplicates.
A sync bug caused an assignment to be submitted multiple times.
Identify duplicates:
Look for identical titles, due dates, and classes.
Open each duplicate and compare details.
Delete the extra copies:
Keep the one that has the most accurate notes or tags.
Delete the others using the trash/delete button.
If you have a lot of duplicates from an import:
It may be faster to delete them in bulk (if supported) or
Clear your data and re-import once carefully.
Avoid importing the same file more than once.
If using sync with another system, check if that system already sent assignments before manually creating them.
If duplicates keep reappearing after you delete them, contact support with examples.
